I knew that doing this walk would be the perfect opportunity to write a book. Anybody doing this walk would naturally write about the walk and the beautiful places they see along the way.

And then an idea came to me! I wanted to write about the dogs I meet. This is where you can come in and help me. I would like to write a book on 'What dogs mean to us'. I don't want people to contact me with stories as I can imagine that I would be inundated!! What I would really love is to meet you and your dogs on my walk and for you to tell me what they mean to you.

I especially want to focus on working dogs, for example Collies that herd sheep, dogs for the blind/deaf, dogs that are involved in rescues, police dogs etc. So keep an eye on this website and click on 'The Route' at the bottom of this page to find out where I am; you may wish to join me and tell me 'What your dog means to you!'
